Sofiero Palace is a summer residence that was formerly owned by the Swedish royal family. This property boasts beautiful gardens which are its main attraction, however, it should be noted that they may not be as impressive during wintertime. The castle itself was closed for visitation when the reviewer went in December, but they still enjoyed an incredible view of the Oresund from the promontory where the palace is situated.
Very nice place to visit when you are at Helsingborg!Nice coffee and cafeteria there too, and suitable for children, amazing tree-house is there for your children to play.Inside the castle nice expositions.Recommendation would be student price for entry, now its 120Krona for adults. Staff is very friendly!

A hidden jam and a fairy-tale. Rhododendron flowering season is out of this world beautiful. The work the they've put into keeping this place perfectly manicured is astonishing. Bravo!

Visit the castle it’s worth it. I was visiting a wedding there. It was so beautiful when the guests where leaving and you had the place later on just for yourself. Entrance staff was so helpful with where to go ans how everything works. The castle is a must see. Plane at least a whole day. Visiting everything in the garden as well.

We’ve being to Sofiero park numerous times. On our last visit, however, the main building was closed for renovations (August, 2023). Unfortunately, no information was provided in advance on the website (otherwise, we would have altered our date for a visit ) and the entrance-ticket was still at full price…. Amazing to see the sculptures from Canada in the Royal Swedish park.I can suggest the best time for a visit would be June, when all the rhododendrons are in blossom. It usually takes up to 2-3 hours to walk around through the entire area, but one can easily spend full day here. Lots of options for kids to play. Also, plenty of parking spots (free), a very nice coffee and sweets selection. If you buy tickets online, you can save up to 20 SEK for 2 persons. Definitely, one of the most wonderful places in Sweden.

We visited the property at the end of December, so keep that in mind. This place, if wiki is to be believed, is famous for the gardens. At the end of December, there's not much of that for sure. The castle was closed too. That said, if you go around the castle, you are greeted by one of the most impressive views. The castle is built on a promontory at the join point of two valleys. The chasm, cause that's what it looks like, Co tinues it's path to the sea, leaving behind an amazing view to the Öresund. Nice view, plus it was free, so what's there not to like? A café would have been nice

The gardens were well looked after. Over 2 hours of walking through blooming flowers.Due to a festival, the view of the Castle was disrupted, but ticket prices were lowered as compensation.

park is compact and wonderful and cleverly planned with great passion to flowers, trees and landscape. Now there are variety of zonal spaces: adventure one with tree walk for kids, field for picnics, classic zone with cut formed bushes and flowers for romantic and older people - everyone can find own favorite corner. Mine is narrow stoney pathways along the brook

Besutiful park, really cool. Good to visit even in the light rain conditions. Play-garden is sweet. Flowers composition is the best. Simple cool maze. Restaurant is not the best and high prices.

Worth a visit !!!!!Loved the castle and the whole park area around itWe went in summer time and had a long queue at the ticket counter. So if you are planning to visit during peak season, I recommend to buy tickets in advance. It took approx 3 hours to cover the whole palace and mesmerising park. Loved the place and would love to visit again.

Even though it was still early in spring and most of the plants hadn't bloomed yet, visiting the gardens was still a magical experience. Walking on the paths next to little ponds, overlooked by the castle was a really nice and calm experience.

I loved visiting this castle and its gardens. Special mention to the amount of rhododendrons that the late king Gustaf VI and his first wife Princess Margaret laid out and took care of. The inside of the castle is not so surprising, but the outside makes it a well worth visit!

Great place full of green. I have been during the lumiere show. Amazing experience to see how lights and music can be combined with harmony. Also a fantastic playground for kids. Worth for a visit for sure. Parking available on the other side the street. 50 kr. for 24 hours. Also easy to reach by public transport.
