Whiskeytown National Recreation Area
This RV-only campground is located at the popular Brandy Creek Marina of Whiskeytown National Recreation Area, 13.5 miles west of Redding, California, and 3.5 hours north of Sacramento. The beach and the launch ramp are located .25 mile away from the campground, which is partially shaded by oaks and pines. The cool, clear waters of Whiskeytown Lake provide endless water activities. Ample opportunities fro hiking and mountain biking are offered by a network of trails.
The campground is on asphalt but has some shade from nearby trees. There are no restrooms, tables, hookups or fire grates. Recreational vehicles, cab-over campers, pop-up tent trailers and fifth wheels must have fully self-contained toilet and wastewater devices to be allowed here.

Need to Know
Download your proof of payment for your campsite from recreation.gov onto your phone or other device. You must be able to show this to a park ranger if requested. A vehicle entrance fee is required in addition to the camping fee.
Whiskeytown is a National Park Service site and charges an entrance fee for each vehicle. If you already have a valid Interagency Annual, Senior, Access, Military, or Whiskeytown Annual pass, please display this pass in a hangtag or place it on the dashboard of your vehicle. Annual passes from Crater Lake National Park, Lassen Volcanic National Park and Lava Beds National Monument are also valid here at Whiskeytown. Entrance passes can be purchased at the Whiskeytown Visitor Center or online at https://www.recreation.gov/sitepass/74295.
Interagency passes such as the Senior, Access, Military, 4th Grade (student must be camping), and the $80 Annual Pass are accepted for park entrance. Please be advised that because the Carr Fire of 2018 burned extensively through the park, post-fire hazards such as falling trees and branches remain. Stay alert while camping in Whiskeytown National Recreation Area.

Tents are not allowed. Sleeping is allowed only in self-contained vehicles. You may not sleep in a car, boat or other vehicle that is not self-contained.
Quiet hours are between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. No generators may be used during this time. Other noises, such as loud voices or music, are also prohibited after 10 p.m.
No ground fires are allowed in this campground. Fires are not allowed in portable metal fire pits or "chimeneas."
Black bears frequent the area: all food, beverage containers, toiletries, cooking and eating utensils must be stored out of sight in your vehicle unless they are in immediate use.
Pets must be kept in a cage or on a leash no more than 6 feet in length at all times. You may not leave pets unattended.
A temporary fire ban on campfires and berbequing with briquettes. is now in effect. Gas grills and gas stoves are still allowed. Campfires are currently not allowed in the fire rings in the campsites.
Natural Features
Gentle breezes from the lake, cooling shade from oaks and pines, and the sound of children playing on nearby Brandy Creek Beach make Brandy Creek RV Campground a relaxing retreat. Whiskeytown National Recreation Area is located where the Klamath Mountains, the Cascade and Coast Mountain Ranges, and the Sacramento Valley meet, creating a variety of wildlife and landscapes.
Nearby Attractions
Brandy Creek Beach is located a half mile south of the campground and features sandy beaches, a large swimming area, picnicking and barbecuing facilities. From Memorial Day through Labor Day, there are showers, a store with food and supplies and rentals of paddle boards and kayaks.
Recreation
During the summer heat, swimming, kayaking, sailing, paddle boarding and water skiing are popular on the 3,200 acre lake. Year round, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, gold panning, fishing and picknicking attract visitors. Hunting is allowed during the appropriate season.

Driving Directions
From Interstate 5 in Redding, CA, drive 10 miles west on Highway 299. Turn left on Kennedy Memorial Drive and follow it for 5.6 miles to Brandy Creek Marina. Turn right and follow the marina road for 1/8 mile; turn right at the entrance to the RV campground.
